mo:no budget is a self-hosted personal-finance application. By using an instance of mo:no budget you agree to these terms with respect to that instance and its operator. These terms apply to the reference instance operated by Kevin Mo; other operators may set their own terms.
What you're using
mo:no budget is software you run, or that someone you trust runs on your behalf. It connects to your financial institutions through Plaid Inc. and presents the resulting balances, transactions, and snapshots in an iOS application. It is not a regulated financial institution, financial advisor, broker, or money-services business.
No financial advice
Numbers shown in the app — net worth, balances, categorizations, projections — are presented for informational purposes. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always verify against the source of truth at your financial institutions before making decisions.
Use at your own risk
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The operator does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the app, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangibles.
Plaid
Bank connectivity is provided by Plaid. By linking an institution you also accept Plaid's terms and privacy policy. The operator does not control Plaid and is not responsible for Plaid's actions.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use the app to access financial institutions you don't own or aren't authorized to access
- Attempt to circumvent the encryption or authentication mechanisms
- Use the app in violation of any law applicable to you
- Use the app to launder money, evade taxes, or commit fraud
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. Disconnecting institutions inside the app removes Plaid's access and deletes the associated data from the server. The operator may also discontinue the app or remove your access at any time.
Changes
These terms may change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
